Why This Recipe Needs to be on your List

Mahi Mahi is a mild fish that has a more firm texture than white fish like flounder or cod making it perfect for dipping without falling apart. I know Salmon gets all the love but don’t sleep on Mahi.

You can season them in many different ways and create different flavor combinations so you don’t get bored with the same recipe.

Sugar-Free Bang Bang Dipping Sauce

I have made thousands of gallons of bang bang sauce over my career in the restaurant business. It has always been a favorite of the customers because of its creamy, spicy, and sweet flavors. I recently tried the Sugar-Free Sweet Thai Chili Sauce from G. Hughes and immediately knew I had to make a keto version of bang bang sauce.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Mahi Mahi Bites

  • If you don’t have an Air Fryer you can make mahi mahi in the oven just as easily. Set oven to broil (low) and spread the Mahi out on a sheet pan on the bottom rack. Broil for 15 Minutes and flip halfway.
  • Use other flavor combinations: Jerk Seasoning with Honey Mustard, Blackened with Ranch or Buffalo with bleu cheese are just a few more ways you can spice up the Mahi Bites.
  • If using fresh Mahi have your fishmonger remove the skin and bones to save you time. They have super sharp knives and have done it a thousand times.
  • Spray the tray or basket of the air fryer to prevent the Mahi from sticking
  • Don’t Like Mahi???? You can substitute salmon, chicken bites, shrimp or even pork using the same cooking method. The time might change by a few minutes but everything else is the same.
  • These Mahi bites are also great on salads and the bang bang dressing is perfect for salad as well.
