    If you don’t like pizza this is definintly not the recipe for you but If you clicked on this post then I have a feeling you are a fan.

    I had seen pizza dip becoming trendy on social media and I wanted to throw my hat I not the ring.

    What makes my pizza dip different from other recipes is the combination of cream cheese and ricotta.

    Ricotta cheese gives the pizza dip a much more authentic flavor and reminds me of a calzone, whichh in my opinion is even better than pizza.

    After that its up to you to load it up with your favorite pizza toppings and you have a fantastic dip that is low in carbs but loaded with flavor.

    Ingredients List

    • Mushrooms, Canned
    • Onions, Diced
    • Black Olives, Sliced
    • Bell Peppers, Diced
    • Cream Cheese, softened
    • Ricotta, Whole Milk
    • Pepperoni slices
    • Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
    • Parmesan Cheese, grated
    • Italian Seasoning
    • Rao’s Marinara Sauce

    Step by Step Instructions

    1. Preheat oven on Broil
    2. In a mixing bowl add your softened cream cheese, ricotta, italian seasoning and ¾ of your pizza toppings (reserve the rest for topping) to a bowl and microwave for 90 seconds. Stir ingredients together until smooth.
    3. Transfer mixture to a oven safe dish or cast iron skillet, spread the mixture out into an even layer then pour out a layer of marinara sauce. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese as well as remaining pizza toppings.
    4. Broil for about 5-7 minutes until the top is fully melted and bubly. Let dip cool for a minute before serving with pork rinds or veggies.

    what size dish should I bake the pizza dip in?

    I used a 4×8 enameled backing dish for this recipe. You can also use a small 6 inch cast iron skillet.

    What other topping can I use in this recipe?

    Sausage, Canadian bacon. jalapeños, banana peppers, bacon, roasted red peppers, spinach, feta or artichokes would all be great additions.

    What other dippers are good with pizza dip?

    Cheese crisps or any grain free crackers or low carb tortillas are good options as well as veggies like broccoli, zucchini sticks, bell pepper sticks or celery.
