What is Copycat Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette?
Get ready to have an all-new favorite salad dressing that you will not only love, but will crave!
If you've been to Chipotle, you might be familiar with their Honey Vinaigrette. If you aren't, get ready to fall in love.
The original Chipotle restaurant dressing is made from scratch in small batches every morning (which is why they don't sell it).
If you've had it, you know it is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. But how can you have it all the time, you ask? Easy!
This dressing is made with a handful of pantry staple ingredients like vinegar, honey, chipotle peppers, oil, and spices and is super easy to make from scratch at home in your own kitchen and this recipe will teach you how!
Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette Ingredients
Dressing Base: The base of the dressing comes together with ¾ cup of avocado oil, ¼ cup of red wine vinegar, and 2 tbsp of water.
Salt and Spices: Add the perfect balance of spice to the dressing by using ¼ tsp of kosher salt and ¼ tsp of dried oregano.
Sweetness: You can't make honey vinaigrette without honey! For this, we are going to add the sweetness, but not all the calories by using 2 tbsp of Sugar-Free Honey.
Spicy: Turn up the heat and add the chipotle into this chipotle dressing by using 2 chipotle peppers in adobe sauce. Pro-tip, the more you add, the hotter it will get.
Creamy: Give your dressing that perfect, slightly creamy texture with 3 tbsp of sour cream. I like using light sour cream to reduce calories. However, if you aren't calorie conscious, you can use regular.
How to Make Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette
Combine and blend. Combine all ingredients except the sour cream into a mason jar or any container with a wide mouth and a lid. Use a stick blender to blend until smooth for about 30 seconds
Add sour cream. Add in the sour cream and blend just long enough to incorporate.
Storage. Store for up to 2 weeks in the fridge in a sealed container
Recipe Tips, Tricks, and Variations
Blender. If you don't have a stick blender or submersion blender, you can use a standard blender or food processor. Don't have a blender at all? You can also put the ingredients in a sealed shaker bottle and shake vigorously for about 2 minutes.
Storing Dressing. You can store your dressing in any type of sealed container. However, I recommend using a mason jar because it seals nicely and has a nice wide neck to pour the dressing in.
Adobo Sauce. If you are looking for a substitute for adobo sauce, you can whisk together tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, chipotle powder (if you don't have chipotle powder, you can use smoked paprika and cayenne powder), cumin, oregano, garlic powder, and salt

Does Chipotle sell its vinaigrette?
No, Chipotle does not sell their vinaigrette. However, even if they did, once you make it yourself, you'd never buy storebought anyway!
This dressing is just as good if not better than Chipotle's and doesn't have all those artificial additives and preservatives.

Talk about the perfect dressing for a host of salads and recipes. Chipotle vinaigrette is salty, sweet, and tangy, with the perfect balance of spicy. Every bite is full of delicious flavor.
